Question Fedora 8 and WUSB54G v4

I'm trying to get my WUSB54G v4 adapter to work with Fedora 8 right now. I notice that when I try to add a new wireless connection through system-config-network, the adapter is recognized.

However, when I try to activate the connection, my entire system hangs. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to get the adapter to work? Thanks!
