Getting a Intel pro2100 wireless working

On FC2/Dell Inspiron8600 laptop/Intel Pro2100 mini-pci wireless.
I have got to connect to a 2Wire router from SbcGlobal.net , which
requires KEY code from the wireless nic to complete connection
I have it selected as DHCP, The Broadcom ethnet nic in laptop,
works fine on DHCP with router.
Below I have attached some settings to give you ideal as to what's happening.
I just can't get connected to router.

Thanks
Jim Tate

# /sbin/iwconfig eth1
eth1 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"2WIRE783" Nickname:"mickey"
Mode:Managed Channel:1 Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00

Power Management:off
Link Quality:0/100 Signal level:-66 dBm Noise level:-98 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0

If I reboot I have to run the key open line below to get it to load the KEY code or
I get the same results as above when i run iwconfig eth1
I'am running the hostap encrypt software.

So the key appears to work but you do not have a connection?

Did you turn on DHCP for the wireless? I like the graphical tool: Main Menu > System Settings > Network. Select the wireless device, select the edit button, and be sure the DHCP option is selected.
