Unable to access my dvd/cdrom

During the intial boot up process of fedora 8 system. I notice that fedora could not mount my dvd/cdrom. I tried manually mount the dvd/cdrom and nothing would happen.

I running fedora 8 on a HP 6748us. duo amd 2.0 ghs with 2gigs of ram. Any suggestions

try mount /dev/hdd /media/cdrom

check for dmesg..

It is working now. I don't what I did, but it is working.
