Can't Install VLC Media Player on FC3

Hello i am a newbee,

I am using FC3. I tried to install VLC media player "vlc-0.8.6a-2.fc3.rf.i386.rpm". While i tried to install, iam getting an err stating " Packges Not Fond " and a bunch of packages are being listed stating required by VCL..... Can any one help.....earlier i tried installing xine engine and gxine it did not work. Its difficult to view video content on the PC.

FC3 is EOL (it doesn't exist any more) and so there are no packages available for it, no yum mirrors, nada. You need to install an OS that is still supported, like F8 (if you're using a home computer and don't mind upgrading the OS every 12 months), or CentOS (if you're using a server and want to keep the OS for some time).
