install fc9 alpha on VirtualBox
Hey, Guys
I was trying to install Fc9 Alpha using Virtualbox but I could get the KDE4 desktop when I tried to login as guest and the system is unacceptable slow. Gnome desktop is fine but still very slow. So anybody has any experience on this? I gave 512M as ram for fc9 virtual guest system.
Thanks

Did you install Guest Additions (In Devices menu)? Did you enable Virtualisation technology in the General settings for the virtual guest? (Your processor needs to support this, check flags in 'cat /proc/cpuinfo', vmx or svm needs to be present, most core 2 duo's 7xxx, 8xxx, AMD Turion etc)

You don't really need a GUI session to install the guest additions as far as I know (at least the Linux Guest Additions). Just a virtual terminal and enough knowledge to mount the fake CD and run the Guest Additions shell script.
Anyway, it's an alpha. It's not supposed to run well natively yet, so expecting it to work great in a VM is a bit of a stretch. (I've tried F9 Alpha in VirtualBox for the same reason of previewing KDE4 and I gave up.)
