Mplayer codecs

Hello all,

I have installed Kplayer with yum on my FC 2 machine. It will play mpeg files off the hard drive just fine...but not dvd's (which is what I wanted it for in the first place). I have also downloaded the all-in-one codec file for mplayer. Question is: where does one put the codecs for mplayer?

Thanks,

MPlayer finds it's codecs in /usr/local/lib/codecs

You might want to look into KMPlayer which is a Basic MPlayer/Xine/ffmpeg/ffserver frontend for KDE.

for mplayer or xine, put the codecs in /usr/lib/win32.
