artwork ideas for fedora

i was wondering who i should contact and what is there e-mail so that i may chat with them about art work ideas for fedora9 and and 10.

and also about a mascot i personally like the idea of a bee. for the reason that fedora usually is KUTTING EDGE and that like a bee fedora distributes the seeds and pollen to other flowers (distros)
or how a bout a locust who spreads across the world and eats all the greens (distros or any compitition) keep in mind that fedora is gnome centric and they are new to kde and are doing quite well in that area cause i am a big kde fan and cant stand all the ubuntu artwork out there. so i wnt to fedora to be different. than the rest. send me a P>M> for any help on who to contact or we can discuss it here.

Somehow I just cant seem to cuddle up to the thought of a locust as a mascot for Fedora...

or make it a bee with a jet pack or something that explains what fedora is just with one look. on how cutting edge fedora is compared to other distros. make the bee fly a f-16 shooting down on another distro like suse lizard flying a mig 25. or a the bee dude that looks like a marine with lots of muscles jumping out of a jeep. or he may be saluting a general wearing a reh hat and he is wearing a blue fedora ? or have the suse lizard in a boxing outfit fighting the bee.

nice pic JN

F.User_4_Life - I would not want to see a fedora mascot fighting another Linux mascott. However a samurai tux would be cool (get it cutting edge)

cant use tux because he is a copy wright of linux. or trademark or what ever it is not illigal to use it but profit made by tux must be dirrected to linus the creator of linux so tux is out of the question. fedora will not use tux for that reason so im sorry if this crushes your dream of tux being the mascott for fedora. why dont you see any other distros use tux except for D.S.L. (Damn Small Linux) powered by knoppix and DEB. and still its not realy a mascott that D.S.L. uses.

You sure about that? There's at least one other distro that uses Tux in the logo. Don't know if it's really official or not:

Think I could think of some more if I wanted to.

Mascots are... overrated. Something about them is just so, for lack of a better word, "shtickish." How about sticking with a logo (as the Fedora Project already does) and letting the distro, rather than a plush toy, animal, or insect speak for the distro?

yeah i think a mascot is a good idea but i personaly like the way fedora is as it is. why change something if it all ready works. just spread the word by mouth. or net. i told everyone in my family about fedora and they are looking into it. or into linux in general.

I miss the days of the blue fedora hat. Maybe a mascot sporting it would be interesting. Fox...smart...nope, you'd run up against Firefox on that one. Cheetah...rapidly developing...just the head with a blue fedora rakishly tilted on it?
