problems on HP pavilion zt3000

is there any linux drive support its modem??
the modem is agere systems AC97 Modem
i cannot access internet ><"

btw, i've d/l it b4 but it said something like doesn't support
the one i d/l is
ltmodem-kv_2.4.22_1.2174.nptl-8.30a1-1.i686.rpm

or i should d/l this one
ltmodem-8.31a3.tar.gz ??

do a lspci -v on the linux box, write it down then get back to us.

Get the .tar.gz one depending on the kernel you have.

Also, there is 2 unknow device in the hardware browser

is there a way to know what are they???

lspci: /sbin/lspci /usr/share/man/man8/lspci.8.gz
You have to be root, type:
Code:
su -
to log in.

Also you need the pciutils package:

yum install pciutils
or
Code:
apt-get install pciutils
It should be installed already.

when i run ./build_modula

the setup said something about cannot compile ltmodem.o

i look through all the dir and i cannot find it ....

so what can i do??

YOu need to read the documentation that came with ltmodem. It is very complete and covers everything.
