Help, can not access some sites ,but windows is ok (resolved)

i am newbie of linux , recently i can not access some websits , but a few of websits i can access ,(yumex also failed)
i can ping all of them in fedora. and windows is no problem.

i add MTU=200 to /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
but nothing happened.

can you type ip address to access?if it works,maybe is DNS problems,make sure that /etc/resolv.conf with a correct nameserver.

ip address failed too
and DNS as same as Windows's

ps: the aMule is working well

I had a similar problem using Fedora core 5. Post 10 on the following link solved my problem.

to Terry,
thank you, i tried the command " sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_window_scaling=0 " , unfortunately it doesn't work.


my linux kernel is 2.6.23.15-137.fc8
both root and others user has the same problem

did you enable a firewall or made an iptables?try to shut them down.

it can work well in my company's network,so i think the firewall / iptable setting is ok.
this morning landlord told me that he updated router's firmware this weekend, maybe the router is incompatible with my linux. Does anybody have any idea about it?

you may get a support from producer by a phone call,of course you should make sure what kind of router your landlord uses.actually if you familier with routers,see the user`s manual if there is a section of Port Mapping.

the router's newest update is only applicable in ShanDong Province of China mainland,when i use the previous version, all is fine.

Background
in China, most local ISPs are very dislike one cable with multi PC, they think its someone share the service with his neighbors. will reduced their profits. so they make numerous limitations on the network. router's newest update is fight against to the injustice 。
