OK, I've read most everything I can find regarding USB modems, and I'm still having some issues. I would like to use my LG vx6000 as a modem while booted into Core 2. The machine recognizes the hardware correctly, but is apparently having issues assigning a driver. The driver that should be responsible for this hardware is the CDC-ACM module; however, even if I load that kermel module by hand, subsequent probing of the phone (or of the device that should be the phone), I get 'modem busy' with kppp and the standard Gnome / Fedora network configuration tools don't recognize it at all. I'm getting a bit tired of booting into XP to use my phone as a modem. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks
