Help!
I updated yesterday and now my f8 is very shaky.
Main symptoms are :
launching gunbg is an almost instant crash out to the gdm
it gets as far as "rendering the board" or something like that
if I try to open the screen saver configuration in KDE pooof!
it killed off my Wine too, try to run any Wine program and pooof!
also if I have KDE on for a while it pooofs and ends up at the gdm, so far ice and windowlab seem not to be effected gnome has similar problems.
Sorry to be so general but I have no idea how diagnose this. I tried to run gunbg and direct the output to a file but it just says it didn't start the game.
It was working fine. I als update another box that is similar but it's running fine, so is my laptop and they all have f8 on them.
any tips?
software problem?
X.org (nVidia using the lavna(?) driver)
hardware problem?
"shoooooe, go back to doze, you pesky windope"?
Nice to try other window managers though. Some are way to hard for me. Glad I read the tips for Ice and found the menumaker!
Thanks,
Pat Jr.
