need help logging into Fedora 9

so i'm new to linux. i have a mac, but i have installed Fedora 9 as a virtual machine using parallels for mac.

anyways, i got it installed, but at the login screen i have 2 choices: guest or other. if i click guest, and then login, all i see is the background, and nothing.

what should i do? i didn't create any users during installation.

thanks in advance

JN4's guess is correct--at least that is what I did. Choose other and make that other root.

If you're new to Linux you shouldn't be playing with the Alpha version of Fedora 9! Not unless you're prepared to beta test it and report bugs back to the developers. I suggest you scrap it and install the current stable supported version, Fedora 8. Please don't expect support from this forum on an unfinished and unreleased product.

as Leigh has said, in a previous Post, you will not get support in the forum for a Development Version of the next major Release of fedora, ..Please use the test-list https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listi...dora-test-list
