Evolution & Message Filter

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem with the Message Filters in Evolution in the sense that I create a filter by right clicking the email message then go to "Create Rules From Message" and then "Filter on Sender".
I then choose "contains" or "is" and tell it which folder I want it to go to.

Most of my messages do get filtered when an email comes in and get filtered to the correct folder but about 30% of them do not

Also if I high light an email and press "CTRL + Y" it should take that email through the filter and drop it into the folder it has been configured for and this does not work either.

Has anyone had problems like this or are able to advise?

This has been so frustrating that I'm tempted to transfer to Thunderbird instead.

Are you using IMAP? I don't have problems with POP accounts at home, but my IMAP accounts at work (I filter IMAP inbox to move to local folders) show similar behaviour, it seems to be bit of hit-and-miss with IMAP at least.

I'm using POP3 at the moment but want to go to IMAP soon
