Question USB Keyboard doesn't work

My usb keyboard,

Justy
model no 104DYW10-100
Part No UKB104EWH

Doesnt work when i install Fedora core 2, with the last or now the very latest kernel. If i swap it for an ordinary keyboard there is no problem. I can then shut down, swap keyboards again and then on reboot the new hardware is detected and configured. And then the USB keyboard works. So, i know how to solve this problem but i would prefer to do something to stop it occuring in the first place, every time i upgrade the kernel for example.

Any ideas?
