Emerald doesn't run at X's boot

Hi. I was running a perfect compiz-fusion + Emerald configuration, until I installed the Compiz Fusion Icon. I wanted to use this icon to fast change from compiz to metacity every time I want to use Wine. After installed it and used it for a while, I found this problem: When I start X (from boot, or from a new login), I don't get any title bar in my windows. I need to go to System->Preferences->Look and Feel->GL Desktop and then uncheck and recheck the Enable GL Desktop in order to get the Emerald title bar back again. I think that my problem is that Emerald isn't runnning at start up anymore, why, I don't know... but maybe is something else...
Plus, another problem, probably related, is that gnome doesn't apply any change I make in CompizConfig Settings Manager
Thank you very much for helping me.
