[FC2] laptop touchpad and tpconfig

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to configure my laptop touchpad to work under linux, but whenever I try to run tpconfig, I get the following error:

fatal: Could not open PS/2 Port [/dev/psaux]

What should I do to solve this problem?

Does this help? (http://compass.com/synaptics/)

"tpconfig is currently supported as a command-line configuration tool. The PS/2 port does not currently support sharing. Therefore the tpconfig utility will not work while any other mouse driver is loaded (gpm)."
