How to make a tutorial video?

I need to make a video of my monitor to show the program I just made.
Does anybody know how to do that? Is there an application to capture my monitor?

Use either Istanbul or Byzanz

or xvidcap

rpm -Uhv http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-8.rpm
yum install xvidcap

(that's for F8 obviously)

istanbul -> ogg theora
byzanz -> gif
xvidcap -> mpeg

xvidcap can record compiz 3d effects
