promise Sata tx150 tx2plus card issue

I am using a Promise SATA150 TX2 plus card in my computer. My current motherboard does not support sata so i had to add a this card to install my WD raptor hard drive. THis card has 2 sata inputs as well as 1 IDE input. WHen installing fedora core 2 it will recognize and install drivers for the card and i have access to the SATA drive. I also have a 40gig hard drive plugged into the IDE port that i would like to use as a Shared drive for my music, video, etc collections. My issue is that linux does not even see that there is a hard drive other than the SATA drive plugged into the card. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Try the other drive as a master

Some SATA controllers will not see drives configured as slave drive.

it is not set as the slave drive. It is set as the master drive. I is recognized in the cards bios as well as in windows. SO it is just kind of confusing why I can't see it in linux.

run dmesg and look through the output. The drive may be listed there. See if the drives were mounted as scsi like SDA1 vs hda. If you are using raid then maybe md1 or md2.
