streaming audio

Does anyone have a recommendation for a streaming audio (internet radio) client program?
I am on FC2.

If you want to hear the radio, use xmms (I do).

Is that "Play Location" in the XMMS menu?
How does Shoutcast fit in?

Oh, btw... the station I am most interested in provides a Windows Media Player feed and a Real Media feed, and seems to prefer WMP:

"Note: We are able to handle more Windows Media streams than RealMedia streams so try Windows Media first, if you can."

Add url and then paste the url. It might be neccessary to change it a little bit e.g. if it is htt://somethin.ltd:80000/player.pls then you have to delete /player.pls to let it work. If you don't know how to edit your url, you might want to post it here and let us see, maybe we'll find it out.

Well, when I listen in a browser, it is:
http://www.wwoz.org/live_broadcast_stream_wm.html

However they say to feed WMP:
http://xgen.sitestream.com/mcasx.asx...4&package=4318

And to feed RP:
http://xgen.sitestream.com/mcrm.smi?...1&package=4332

Am I correct in assuming that RP is as bad on Linux as it is on Win32?

I have done this in a browser on Win32 and FC2. FC2 seems to cut out and stop more often, and FC2 seems to take longer to get started, not by seconds, by minutes. Hence my interest.

I just can not bring myself to use a CLI to listen to an audio stream, despite repercussions.
