X doesn't run automatically :(

Hiya
I've just installed FC8 on a spare old PC i've managed to resurect, and did installation over VNC.
Install has finished, and when i log in the command startx will give me gnome.
I don't really want to have to install again, but is there a way I can get x to run automatically?
I expect to mostly use this system remotely, so any tips about VNC would be most welcome too.

Hi

It sounds like an inittab - you need to make a change there.

Log in as root

Code:
nano /etc/inittab
(Or use any text editor you prefer). Find this line -
Code:
id:3:initdefault:
...and change it to
Code:
id:5:initdefault:
