Greetings, i'm a newbie in the linux world, just installed the fedora 8 distro and all ran smoothly for 4 days even connected to net with my huawei e220 3.5g modem. the problem began when i updated the system, using that util found in the system tools. when the pc rebooted after the process concluded, the modem connects all right but there is absolutely no internet acess in the os. not in firefox, not in the package instalar, no net at all. I presume that there is something that is blocking it, like a firewall rule or something like that. I was a fierced windows user and my first experience with linux was very good, i liked it's speed and power. just became sad with this problem ... is someone there who could help me, please? my pc is a laptop, toshiba satellite p100-103 , i am portuguese. and i would like to salute all the linux users over the world! thanks in advance...
