I have a pdf document I would like to read so i used the rpm from the adobe website to install Adobe reader 8 to view the pdf doc but when i try to open it i get the message Japanese language support package is required to display this page properly. I have downloaded the package but don't know what to do with it.
Can anyone give me advice as to what i should do next?
Uncompress or gunzip the file. Untar the file and read the text file for installation steps.
The text file says
The font software contained in this package is being licensed to you solely
for use with the Adobe Reader product ("Adobe Reader") subject to
the terms and conditions of the Electronic End User License Agreement
accompanying the Adobe Reader.
I have uncompressed it. Is untaring the same thing? Anyway i double clicked on the .TAR files and got an Adobe folder
In a terminal as root i did this
[root@localhost ~]# cd JPNKIT
-bash: cd: JPNKIT: No such file or directory
