Books on Linux

So if you have read a book on Linux what was it?

What do you recommend?

I'm reading Linux For Dummies 7th Edition. The author is very partial to Fedora.

I've been pointed to this many times, it's more of a e-book I guess you could say:

A couple of good ones:

Garfinkel, et al, Practical Unix and Internet Security, 3rd Ed. (O'Reilly)
Zeigler, Linux Firewalls, 2nd Ed. (New Riders)

I just use online sources for the rest.

That's not surprising. A lot of books out there are partial to Fedora and especially Red Hat - they're typically geared at sysadmins, and sysadmins like their Red Hat, Fedora, and CentOS.

My Christmas gifts included a copy of the Fedora 8 Bible. From a bit of skimming, I was impressed by the scope of it, and hope to delve into it some. But it's a big book - a lot to tackle!

Also got a copy of the Cathedral and the Bazaar.
