Maybe none of them have Dell laptops.
Seriously, there's all sorts of things that developers miss, or design decisions that they make that we might think are wrong. It's easy for us to say, how could you be so foolish|careless|ignorant or whatever. However, one assumes that when they *know* there's a problem, they don't release it.
That's part of the purpose of bugzilla, making sure that they do know of various problems that they might have simply not had while writing the code.
The /sbin/loader thing though is something that I would give relatively low priority--it's more an inconvenience than show stopper--as you probably know from your search on the forums, eventually, it will continue.
