I am going to be heading a project (which will soon be hosted on SourceForge) to create a new distribution. We have decided to base our distribution on Fedora. I have done Linux From Scratch and found it to be a joke. We want to base our distro on Fedora.
I need information on how to take your source code and modify it to our needs. Is it as simple (you know what I mean by simple) as taking the Fedora source rpms and extracting the source, editing it, and creating new rpms from the edited source? Then after that is done, is there a product for Anaconda that would allow us to tell it what packages to offer for installation?
Please help me with some general information. I will not be the only person working on this. We will have a team of programmers.
