selinux: hand tweaking policieand yum selinux-policy updates: overriden or perserved?

Q.1 Can anyone confirm that, once a Selinux policy has been tweaked by hand, that updates from the selinux-policy packages (as delivered by Yum) will not over write or (generally) destroy the hand tweaked changes?
Curious minds need to know (before the next policy update is committed...)
