Anyone with any "Sansa bricking" experience?

And more importantly, recovery methods

I tried to install Rockbox on my Sansa c240, but failed and now I have a very petite paperweight.

You can get the details here, but the jist of it is this:

I failed at the installation and now I can't seem to get back to data transfer mode to attempt to uninstall the Rockbox bootloader or to successfully reinstall the Rockbox firmware.

The admin on the forum is trying to help, but I was hoping someone might have some ideas or personal experience.

thanks,
json

Well, I successfully installed Rockbox finally. Then I successfully uninstalled it after about a half hour

Doing something like that is a great way for me to appreciate the stuff I have and how it works. I can now use the stock firmware without wondering if there's something better

thanks,

shock treatment:
Code:
$mv /* /media/Sansa\ c240
fixes it everytime.
edit: disclaimer- if you don't understand the command line above, do NOT exiecute it if you actually have that device mounted in that manner.
