How can I DELETE instead of Move to Trash ?

There doesn't seem to be any option to delete a file. All I can find is Move to Trash. For large files that takes a very long time. And even then I have to empty the trash to finally get rid of them, and that takes just as long.

Isn't there any option fo simply delete a file ?

(Gnome) System > Preferences > Personal > File Management > Behavior > Trash Checking the option "include a delete command that bypasses trash" will give you what you want.

And in KDE, Control Center > KDE Components > File Manager > Show 'Delete' Context menu entries which bypass the trash can.

Also try shift + delete, that will promt you for verification and then delete permenantly.

Actually, i always wonder what's that Trash doing there in my system, i shift-delete all the time .

But well, it risks losing data
I'm looking for some way to recover shreded files, any ideal, guys ?
