smplayer-0.5.61 and fedora 8

has any one gotten smplayer-0.5.61 to run in 8

Code:

# make QMAKE=qmake-qt4

builds fine with no problems and make install gose fine
BUT
i get this error when i go to launch it

Code:

smplayer: symbol lookup error: smplayer: undefined symbol: _ZN7QString16fromAscii_helperEPKci

qt4 , qt4-x11 and qt4-devel are installed

now smplayer-0.5.21 builds and runs fine

I just downloaded the package and built and installed it here following your footsteps on F8 64bit
and it seems to working fine

I have made rpm 's for smplayer 0.5.61 for F8 if you are interested

I found part of the problem it's qt4 and not smplayer because stellarium .9 is doing the same thing
They only run if i log in as root and NOT as su in bash
also qt4 config , Qt4 Designer , and Qt4 Linguist only run if i am logged in as root and not su
SElinux dose not seam to be at fault , for non of the above work when it ( selinux) is shut off

problem solved i did a re-install and now everything works
