fedora 8 can't install

i'm wanting to install fedora 8 on my laptop [sony vaio "PCG-7V5P"] [had no problems with fedora 7]. the problem occurs after the "check media" screen, it should load anaconda but i get the following [see attached file][i used the same DVD in my desktop with no problems]

I did not see the attached file, but I also find that an install on my HP zv6000, I get through check media, then I get a blue screen with the keys to select next screen, etc. This only happens if I attempt the install from DVD. If I do the install from the live CD, it goes fine (it installs fine, but I have problems with HPLIP and ndiswrapper that I'm still working on).
