Fedora 8 and WLAN USB stick
I just installed Fedora 8 but I can't connect to the Internet. Before Fedora I had Ubuntu and Ubuntu would recognize my stick straight away and connect to the Internet. In Fedora I can't find anything that would allow me to set it up. Everything seems to be based on Ethernet ports and integrated network cards.
Any ideas?
I already changed from Windows XP to Ubuntu and now from Ubuntu to Fedora to escape mysterious illogical computer problems, I just want to stop running.

My guess with ubuntu it has ndiswrapper installed but Fedora does not include it do to American legal issues.
Many post here on installing ndiswrapper to get you going.
Also post more info like the USB device brand, Model, version
Also post related output for the device from the following commands like
/sbin/lspci -v
/sbin/lsmod
/sbin/lsusb
uname -r

Acer 5100-5840 with webcam, ati, sdcard reader, sound, atheros based wireless, all working. Only thing not working is the memory stick reader.

Being USB and not knowing anything about the nic I would install ndiswrapper and use the windows inf driver with it.
