wireless networking

I should start by saying I'm sorry for asking so many questions today... I'll earn back karma by helping others later.

anyway, I have a problem with the wireless networking in fedora 8. In fedora 7 (and I think core 6) there was an icon at the top right which told you which wireless networks were around and you could connect to them by just clicking on it and entering in the WEP key. But this isn't here on mine anymore and I can't think of anywhere else to look for it...

thanks for your help,

launch /etc/init.d/NetworkManager and /etc/init.d/NetworkManagerDispatcher

then the network manager should appear in the taskbar for yoiu, left click shows you wired, then wireless connections with the SSID's and right click shows enable networking
