problems with 'trial boot'

Hello

I have a system here,on which i installed first Windows. Then i installed Fedora 7. The result was a grub with vista and fedora 7. No problem. Yesterday i installed ubuntu. Now i get a bootloader with vista and ubuntu. I can't use fedora anymore. How can i have a grub with the 3 operation systems?

I'm in ubuntu now, maybe this can help ( below )
Thanks in advance.

Hello Quintilo,

It sounds like Ubuntu installed GRUB in the master boot record overwriting the existing GRUB installed by Fedora. One thing to try is to just add a section for Fedora to the Ubuntu menu.lst file. The following suggested menu.lst entry to boot Fedora from Ubuntu's menu is favored by many people because (when it works) it doesn't require any editing after a Fedora kernel update...
Code:
title Fedora
configfile (hdx,y)/boot/grub/grub.conf
or...
Code:
title Fedora
configfile (hdx,y)/grub/grub.conf
Adding one of those to the end of your Ubuntu menu.lst file will probably work to boot Fedora. If the first one fails, try the other one. The x and y are the drive and partition of your Fedora boot partition, and you have to find out what they are and make that change to the examples. I'm betting it will be (hd0,1).

An alternative is to mount your Fedora boot partition while in Ubuntu and copy the Fedora section of /boot/grub/grub.conf and paste it into your Ubuntu menu.lst file. The difference in this method and the previous one is that this method requires you to do this again after each kernel update. A minor problem, actually.

Finally, here is another thread where someone with a similar problem dealt with it.
