KB3 doesn't recognize Memorex DVD-R...

I have a Sony DRX-710UL external hard drive and trying to use KB3 to burn an ISO to a blank Memorex DVD-R 16x...when I bring up KB3 (and when it can see my DVD drive) - it shows in the title of Drive "Complete Data DVD-R". Now when I stick in a different blank DVD it sees it just fine and thinks it's a blank DVD.

K3b Version is 1.0.3 (Using KDE 3.5.7-22.fc7 Fedora).

If there is any other information I could provide, let me know.

Guess I'll move the ISO over to the XP machine and burn it there (which I haven't tried yet).

Note - the DVD's are brand new, never have been used.

Anyone know of why this would happen?

Perhaps someone knows which brands of DVD's will work....hate to buy more and not work...

Hello i dont know about your specific problem, but it may help a little, i found that if i had a internal optical drive and plugged in a usb one (writer) k3b had problems but if i unpowered the internal drive(disconected) it worked fine, i never investigated it further as i never needed to, sorry i cant be much more help.
