mplayer browser plugin

When I try to play real player streams or windows media player streams, mplayer starts to download then stops
and does not play the stream. How do I get firefox to stream real and windows media player streams?

happens to me sometimes, just hit the play button a couple times till it decides to play. not the most sofisticated of fixes but in my case it does the trick.

if that doesn't work you can always install the vlc plugin from livna repo. mozplugin-vlc or something its called.

btw, you have livna repo and windows media and real support?

ok then, get the rpm for your version here: http://rpm.livna.org/rlowiki/
install that and the new livna repo will be availiable, with lots of codecs and stuff. if you have other 3dr-party repos installed, they might conflict, do a search on the forums if you need more info on this.

then just do a "yum install gstreamer-plugins-good gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-ugly" and an update. then most codecs should work fine in mplayer and the mplayer plugin. not sure about the real one, tho.
