I think it's an alternative to the Gnome menu. I'm sure it will be an option. If you look in the gallery Leigh posted a screenshot.

Bigboard questions
Thanks to some very helpful users who provided me links to the Gnome Big Board page I was able to find out more about it. I am wondering will this be a optional download or will it be installed automatically ? After reading the info about it, I do not really see the need for this improvement unless I am missing something. I can already use internet apps on my desktop, and I am assuming they will not change that in the lastest release, that is in testing. Sure I use some web apps , but I am not too sure about the whole take you desktop anywhere idea. Then again I might be missing something. And thoughts on this matter ?

I wonder if there are any RPMs for Fedora 7. I wouldn't mind giving it a go.
Edit: to answer my own question:
yum --enablerepo=updates-testing install bigboard

OK. A quick follow-up:
Running that yum command installed the following files on my machine:
bigboard
gnome-python2-gnomedesktop
gnome-python2-gnomekeyring
hippo-canvas
hippo-canvas-python
loudmouth
mugshot
online-desktop
To activate Bigboard you log-out of your regular Gnome session and log-in to a Bigboard session. There, you're presented with your usual Gnome desktop but a sparse Gnome Panel and the Bigboard sidebar thingie. Don't worry, your Panel settings are stored so if you log-out and back-in to regular Gnome, your Panel will be restored, although it asks to to log-in again.
That's all I've managed to explore so far. Will spend some time with it later.

So, I played around with it for a short time but really couldn't see what it was in aid of... I was left a little underwhelmed. I couldn't find any way to configure it, so as usual (I've tried a couple of different menu systems) came back to the standard Gnome menu.
