Red Hat in the News

Red Hats been in the News recently for unveiling their latest plans for the Desktop. NewsForge has some good information about it here.

Meanwhile SearchEnterpriseLinux has a nice little article about Red Hat and SE Linux which can be read here.

I certainly hope my university uses it as a standard distro, or even Enterprise Workstation. Any idea on academic licensing for this edition? I know the enterprise 3.0 line has fairly good academic pricing.

i payed academic licensing for faculty or staff is 25 bucks only / year

see, redhat have to make up their mind on their commercial services and product, they have been shufting left and right for the past 2 years about their opinion on desktop linux
