Installing Asterisk 1.2 in fedora 6.. i need your help!!

Hii ,

well im doing my senior project on VoIP and im using asterisk .
i have installed linux fedora core 6 ... i downloaded asterisk also version 1.2.13.. now im trying to install it in linux ,but i can't do it ..

im new to linux operating system .. i've found the steps online but when im trying them it's giving me error .. i have created five folders in src/usr now trying to unzip but i can't do it ..


plzzz help me ...

if yuor intetion is use only asterisk for voip and no fedora for other services , you can download trixbox , is based on CentOS and Asterisk , is it easy to configure with web browse .

I have install it in my home and work fine .
