Exclamation Fedora 8 will detect PS3īs HD?

Itīs really surprising to discover that none of Fedora 8 Tests has detected PS3īs Hard drive, although since Fedora Core 5 we are working with it. Is it HD driver so altered with this new kernel version...so altered?

The new version has been improved for us all? or...

A final question, If fedora 8 Test3 has no detect PS3 components like HD, will final release of Fedora 8 do?ŋ or we have to wait this realease to know it.

Regards.

Hello:
The developers may not be aware of this, therefore, you should file a bug report and let them know.

Question Other drivers

Does Fedora 8 have any new sound drivers? I have a 3000 N100 Lenovo. The built in speakers do not work. I have to use a USB sound card from Altec Lansing which works with headphones or external speakers just to get sound. What about certain streaming videos such as from Fox, CNN, or daily motion?

Other then that, I absolutely love Fedora 7. It runs great dual booting with Vista Business on my laptop.

I got Test 2 to detect my USB Flash drive and installed it on that, but then it wouldn't boot properly. The PS3's hard drive wouldn't show up at all using the Test 2 DVD, but with the same bootloader I could use the F7 release DVD and the hard drive was detected.

I have downloaded Test 3 but if the HD isn't detected I guess I'll avoid it. I'll have a look in bugzilla, too.

The new kernel changed the PS3 device model, and that broke the
installer; this was not fixed until after test1 froze.

Tested with new anaconda:

anaconda-11.3.0.42-1.ppc.rpm

anaconda-runtime-11.3.0.42-1.ppc.rpm

Nothing again.

Hi guys,

What bootloader are you guys using for the PS3? I got kboot from http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...le/geoff/cell/ (the CELL-Linux-CL_20071023-ADDON.iso), but the installer crashes when it tries to load anaconda.

I'm wondering if the latest firmware 2.00 is to blame...
