may i ask whether i could upgrade FC1 to FC2 using apt-get or something?
just moved from slackware to FC, if this subject has been repeated somewhere else pls direct me to that post btw is there any good guides out that teach how to compile kernel-2.6.6 in FC1?
but this is not stable and could lead to massive problems. (e.g. sound with alsa and other things) so better would be to upgrade with anaconda (boot-cd )
Afaik you just need to add the fc2 repositories to the apt config file /etc/apt/sources.list and then run apt-get dist-upgrade and pray But I must tell you, that I never have done that. And maybe there is a better tutorial out there on the net, that you can use. Search for it.
