smooth scrolling

Hi
Can someone point me to some howto which explain how to obtain smooth scrolling in firefox and in general, i just can't get a decent scrolling in fedora(neither7 nor 7.91)
i have a radeon 9600pro, i get 3dacceleration with both free drivers (ati and radeon drivers) i dont use the proprietary fglrx
the thing is that in other distributions i get smooth scrolling, and i looked at the xorg.conf file but i cant find the difference
thanks

Not knowing the version but if installed with F7 then I assume 2.0. Under Edit > Preferences > Advance d > General > Browsing there is a box to check for smooth scrolling. It may work for you. It didn't work so well for me.

I use the extension called smoothwheel.

thx for the reply i know about that setting but as i stated in other distros i have smooth scrolling(not to mistake for the firefox setting)(i'm not reffering to firefox but to scrolling in general for the entire desktop(nautilus etc) ) , but it seems that this scrolling thing(not just for firefox) it's a more complicated problem and it's different in every distro
it would be nice if some pro could explain this phenomena

Not know your gui but in KDE there is a tool called ksynaptics that is under the control center. If you do not have it then it can be installed. May help. All I know.
