Well, this is my first post so be kind. I also feel that this forum may be way over my head but I think I can catch up quickly, I hope.
Now to the problem:
Fedora7 2.6.21-1.3194kernal
xorg-x11.server 1.3.0.0-5build
nVidia Geforce4 mx440 dual vga
I have tried installing on HDD just to speed things up but there is no sense until I get this video worked out because I end up re-installing from CD everytime I crash. I am using the live CD now, which is very impressive.
I have a less than typical setup up (see below) nothing that I see out of the ordinary.
A single monitor works fine with the video card but I can't get dual head to work.
Within the default GUI - I have tried many alternate combinations of display settings as well as "automatic" updates(when I was on the HDD).
I tried many times to enable the dual head. When I try to configure the second setup for the video I restart x server (that I know how to do) and then it takes me to the error:
Xauth: creating new authority file
X window System ver. 1.3
X protocol Ver 11
core 2.6.21*
Build ID xorg-x11.serv 1.3.0*
log file: /var/log/xorg.0.log
configfile: /etc/x11/xorg.conf
fatal server error
requested entity already in use.
I think you get the picture and I am sure that I need to dig into this but I need a jump start with direction. I know the card is fine as well as the monitors. I venture that it is a driver config issue from reading some of the posts. I do not know what to do about this. Any thoughts, ideas, or help is much appreciated for a newbie trying to grow some feathers to fly with.

First warning: I am not sure how to update or load tar.gz since I have not the command knowledge yet. I find it difficult to find the correct applications on line to use within my Linux world. Any direction to where I might get the most current applicable information on using Linux as an OS would be appreciated. I am trying to make the change over from Windows to Linux so I might have a better time in life. I have had it with Windows - I work and work with it but there is only so far you can go before you hit a brick wall. I hope this Linux platform will be my answer to many pc issues I have because of the workability within this OS. I have to learn how to manipulate though. Thanks for all...
