problem with partitioning

hi there,

i have downloaded fedora 7 i-386 dvd and i am concerned at one stage of the installation. i currently have 6 partitions setup on my hard drive and all i want to do is to put fedora on one of those partitions. the problem is that i think it says it wants to create a new partition and im worried that it going to put fedora over the top of some of my existing files and partitions...?

please help.

Select the 'custom' partitioning. That will allow you to pick a partition and modify it as "/" (root). The install will go there and only there.
