Creating PDF

I want to know if I could make a PDF document. I printed the page in PostScript. Can I convert the PostScript to PDF?

Thanks for the help.

I use ps2pdf.

P.S.: You probably already have it installed.

How do I locate the PostScript file. I don't know where its at. I went to File -->Print and the Print window comes up. Printer Name is PostScript/default. Then I clicked on Print. It shows that its being printed, but I don't know where its saving it.

Thanks

Sorry this isn't related to the postscript idea - but if the doc is in openoffice use the "export" option under the file menu, it works really well I find and produces nice PDF output

You post is a bit confusing, we'll need more information

What program did you use or try to use
What original file did you have
If you just printed the file, it would usually go to a real printer, if it
didn't then it's probably sitting in the cups queue.
I'll assume the original file was a doc file, open office already
has a built-in ability to print directly to a pdf file, in fact
you mentioned doing "File -> print"
in open office you can select "File -> Export as pdf"
(ps like Jon just said)

and do your doc -> pdf without having to even mess with postscript

Also, most programs of interest for dealing with PS files in
linux have a "print to file" option, then the file dialog will
require you to select the directory to send the pdf file to.

kghostview is kind of nice in that when you "File -> Print..."
it comes up with a "Name" pull down list and in there
is "Print to File (PDF)", just do that and you're done.

Mark

Doesn't OpenOffice do this as a default? Mine has an Export Directly as a PDF button.
