FC6 won't come out of stand by

Hello,
We have setup fedora core 6 on a server and we have been testing it for some time and everything works great except the server and the OS don't agree on standby... I have disabled stand by and so on in the OS and I even tried messing around with the power settings in the system bios to keep the machine running.. but it doesnt work and when the server goes into standby I have to reboot it to access it again... Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?? Please let me know and thank you.
