Using Fedora 7, kernel 2.6.22.1-41.fc7; everything updated (as of 12 aug 07)
The problem: when I put a blank CD into drive, it appears on desktop; I can drag files into it but when I click "Write to CD" it just keeps asking me to insert a blank CD, although there is definitely one in there; I tried ejecting and re-inserting, as well as using a different cd, to no avail;
I can, however burn an ISO image no problem; I just drag the ISO file to the blank CD window and click "Write.." and it prompts me to confirm create from image and then it writes.
So, I've been using mkisofs from the command line to create an ISO from whatever files I need to write to the CD and then just using Nautilus to do the burning. This was kind of fun at first but the novelty is wearing off. Of course it is a workable solution, and as far as i'm concerned, better than going to the trouble of launching a burning program to just write some data to a cd. But if anyone has any suggestions on how to be able to just drag, drop, and write in Nautilus, it would be greatly appreciated.
