Countdown

Hi. I have windows and linux installed in the same computer. When I turn my computer on there is this countdown that allows me to boot windows. Is there a way to change the time of this countdown or even to get rid of it? Thanks,
Toti

You can get rid of it but I wouldn't advise doing so. Recently, there was a kernel update that would not boot properly, it would get stuck at determining eth0 (networking) When a kernel is updated the previous kernel is kept as a fall-back just in case the new kernel doesn't boot properly or throws up any errors. If you got rid of that timer it would be hard to stop the boot and choose a working kernel if it happens again in the future. I hope this makes sense.
