Hello:
I see so many of this type of error reported to my ~/.xsession-errors file that it's beginning to become a problem:
Code:
[...]
X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8
Major opcode: 157
Minor opcode: 6
Resource id: 0x156
X Error: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter) 4
Major opcode: 54
Minor opcode: 0
Resource id: 0x1a004f7
[...]
I've seen .xsession-errors grow to >10MB, I'm guessing 75%+ these errors. Using KWatch (I usually use KDE), I can see that almost every program/window that I open/resize/minimize/maximize generates at least a couple such errors.
The real problem isn't the errors themselves - there seem to be no functional problems. But the sheer quantity of these errors makes it difficult to sort out any real errors, and if it weren't for frequent power outages and kernel updates forcing me to reboot, I shudder to think of just how large this file could get. I've searched these forums and googled, and found many references to this, but no insight as to what causes them or any solutions. Any insight/suggestions/solutions will be very much appreciated.
Thanx and regards,
Vince
