Beryl Problem *Solved*
F7 i386

I installed Beryl, but when I click on Beryl Manager in the Applications menu, the screen turns completely white except for the mouse cursor. When I move the scroll wheel on the mouse the corners of the screen flash black like the workspace switcher rotating. Other than that all I have is a white screen.

My video card (from lspci):
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV44A [GeForce 6200] (rev a1)

can you post


cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf

and

yum list *nvidia*

and which 3D driver did you install i.e livna

I don't know which 3D driver was installed but I'm assuming Livna, because I don't remember specifically installing any (still kind of new to linux).

su - = full root login

rpm -Uvh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-7.rpm = installs the livna release key ( enables the third party livna repository for video drivers and multimedia codecs )

yum install kmod-nvidia = installs the nvidia driver

nvidia-config-display enable = sets up the X server with the correct nvidia settings

service nvidia restart = this restarts the nvidia service

I already knew 'su -' and had livna installed
It already had the Nvidia driver installed too, so all that really needed to be done was 'nvidia-config-display enable' and the nvidia restart, then reboot.
