gDesklets with simpleRSS

Does anyone know how to get simpleRSS working with gdesklets? I know you need to download the RSS control package, which i did. But how do I integrate it with simpleRSS so it downloads feeds?

I managed to get the desklet to not have errors all of the time, but for some reason it doesn't update. I ran a different rss desklet (rssboy) which used the same rss "control" and it updated just fine... what could be the problem?
